Program assumptions

Offer of Frajda Kindergarten

The program of FRAJDA Kindergarten takes into account the harmonious development of personality of our pupils: intellectual, physical, social and creative.
The aim of the preschool is to educate bold and enterprising people, who have good contact with their environment and who cope well with life.

FRAJDA works on the basis of the Preschool Education Programme "Planet of Children. Truth, good and beauty in the world of values" by Joanna Wasilewska, WSiP Publishing House, in compliance with the MEN core curriculum.

The programme includes levels of increasing difficulty, which allows the teacher to adjust the content to individual differences and needs of children.

The organisation of classes takes into account the balance between free play, games, outdoor activities and educational classes.

The core curriculum is also implemented daily in English in all age groups.

We have chosen immersion - "immersion in language" - as the key method in the English language learning process. We create a natural environment in which the English language is used - morning classes, indoor/outdoor conversations, routines and the afternoon activities of our own programme 'Afternoon Tea Club' provide a primarily unforced, stress-free form of learning.

Morning lessons

Innovative methods which take into account each type of child's modality:

We use / apply a number of innovative methods (learning through play), which accompany us in the morning classes, below we present some of them:

Task-based learning - creating situations where the child feels the need to use language and the need to learn something new;
Role - Play - this method enables not only practicing vocabulary, correct pronunciation, accentuation, but also getting to know one's own emotions through acting out short dialogues. The role-play method breaks down communication barriers;
Mind Mapping - a method pleasant to the eye and friendly to the mind. By means of colourful teaching materials, e.g. flashcards, we create picture maps according to the current topic;
...and one of the leading methods is Laugh and Learn - a friendly atmosphere is the basis for successful learning of English, therefore the teacher <-> children bond is extremely important. Humour strengthens relations and effectively fights stress - situational jokes, short anecdotes or comic scenes motivate and engage children to cooperate :)
The routine. Indoor/outdoor "small talks".

Thematic conversations take place in various forms, and the rule is: the teacher uses only English.

Afternoon Tea Club

(1 / per week) age of children 4-5-6 years

This is an original programme written and implemented by Teacher Olena. The afternoon classes will not take place without the traditional English tea with milk! This is an unchanging ritual that accompanies us as we learn about the culture of Great Britain- tea ceremony, London city, Queen Elizabeth II and her beloved royal corgis, British weather and many other topics realized through a bit of art. Children explore the UK in different ways: tastes (cooking together), sensory projects, dance, songs, art projects...

Fun Theatre

(1 / week) ages 3-4-5-6 years.
Theatre classes in English are a combination of learning and fun.

Children learn to express emotions and cultivate openness, which has a positive impact on their relationships with their peers.

Sing and Joy' Choir

Choir classes develop musicality, shape vocal emission, hearing and memory through breathing, vocal and rhythmic exercises. Singing is an amazing, natural tool to express emotions, gives the opportunity to relax and teaches cooperation with others. Classes at the Frajda nursery school are conducted in English and the repertoire includes children's songs as well as classical music pieces. The programme allows children to experience the beauty of music and derive satisfaction from singing together.

The choir classes are attended by children who show musicality and sing with sounds.

In addition, we use innovative teaching methods in our kindergarten:

Glottodidactics

It takes care of the proper training of the stages that prepare children for reading and writing. Children prepared in this way will not have dyslexic difficulties. The method was developed by Prof. Bronisław Rocławski and brings excellent results. Children can start learning already
3 years old. All children learning with this method achieve very good results in learning letters, fluent reading and writing.
